STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Bible Band is an arm of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of
Texas with the specific ministry of distributing Bibles in the name of our
convention and encouraging Bible Study through systematic reading plans and
guides. The Bible Band will encourage family altars and the visible display
of Bibles in homes. The Bible Band will be the Convention's contact when
there is a need for Bibles in identified places (i.e. homes, Churches,
hospitals, correctional institutions, etc.)

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
1. To make the Bible Band a visible and viable ministry of the Missionary
Baptist General Convention of Texas and assist in its work of Kingdom
Building through the mandates of the Great Commission with a specific
emphasis of distributing Bibles and encouraging the study of God's written
Word.
2. To distribute Bibles directly from the Bible Band and through the
auxiliaries and districts of the State Convention. One Thousand (1000)
Bibles will be distributed annually.
3. To make available systematic Bible reading plans and Bible study
resources (i.e. guides and/or web sites) and to suggest study books and
reference commentaries our Convention, its auxiliaries, districts and
individuals. One Thousand (1000) reading plans will be distributed
annually.
4. To be a fiscally responsible auxiliary of the State Convention and
contribute during the Board meetings, Congress and Annual Sessions.

Oh, God help me to remember that Thou art talking to me when I read the
Bible, and may I believe every word Thou sayest. May the Holy Spirit shine
in my heart, and make the meaning plain; and make me willing to obey all Thy
commands for Jesus' sake. Amen. |
